HELLO my FRIEND.

I’ve been a creative person for as long as I can remember, but made it official in college and have been doing it professionally since 2008. I love the strategy and problem solving that comes with all aspects of design, photography and brand systems. Helping brands large and small create something for themselves that helps boost their recognition and gives them a meaningful presence in this world is the ultimate joy I get from my work. It’s such a wonderful varied spectrum of connected creative tissue. And I like to do it all.

But also…I hate Marketing.

A conundrum I know, I’ve worked in it for 16 years. But my theory? Those that hate the industry they are in do it better. Why? They seek to find meaning and truth in what they are putting out in the world. I don’t subscribe to filler. Whatever project I work on, it has to have substance and to work toward greater good for those living in this world. I cut to the bone of a project and learn how to build it up from there. And in my opinion that makes for better creative, better story telling and better connection.

I currently have found my design focus to be within the outdoor industry. From snowboards to sleeping pads, I’ve worked with product line direction and design, product packaging, digital advertising, illustration, video collaboration, photoshoot art direction and I’m pretty quick with a steamer with some off-the-cuff styling in a pinch. I really do love it and find it’s the best place for my ‘outside’ passions to meet the work I do inside.

Other facts? I’m a lover of biking, fairly decent snowboarder, advanced backpacker and car camper, semi-ok fly fisherman, really good car-dancer and pretty decent at eating, in general. I like rivers, forests, rocks, art, space and learning about the earth. I also very much love my dog Moose, he’s my fave. I’m around. Let’s chat.
